Brooke Crowder
Founder and CEO, The Refuge for DMST
Brooke Crowder is the Founder of The Refuge for DMST, a nonprofit based in Austin, Texas that built The Refuge Ranch, a long-term residential facility that opened in the summer of 2018 to care for girls, ages 14-18, recovering from sexual exploitation. In August of 2024, The Refuge for DMST merged with another Texas based nonprofit, Arms of Hope, to create The Refuge Ranch, a ministry of Arms of Hope. Brooke serves on the Board of Directors of the newly founded entity which continues to provide long-term care for young women and their children who have survived trauma and exploitation.
Brooke lives with her husband, Calvin, in Telluride, Colorado where they enjoy all the beauty and activity mountain living offers. In 2022, they founded Mountain View Foundation, a Christ-centered private operating foundation that provides resources and programs that inspire people in need of rest, reflection, and rejuvenation, bringing joy into their lives and fostering hope for their future.
When not in Telluride, Brooke and Calvin enjoy traveling to different parts of the United States to spend time with their four adult children.
